Laura Irwin

My name is Laura Irwin and I currently an MA/PhD student in the Department of Communication at the University of Washington. I have two ambitious vocational goals: 1) to expand my mind enough to fit all the complexities of the universe and 2) to build coalitions across identities in order to facilitate Anzaldua's Left-Handed World.

 

My research interests include rhetoric, coalition-building, critical race and ethnic studies, identity and embodiment. I have created this site as a portfolio for potential employers and academics to learn more about me and receive a few samples of my work, showing me off as a potential educator, writer, and coalition-builder.
